Cannabis Topicals FAQ
Current laws prohibit cannabis products from being shipped over state lines and mandates that they can only be purchased through licensed dispensaries. This prohibits us from selling online or doing mail orders. Currently our products can be purchased at dispensaries in Colorado, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Cannabis is still federally illegal, which means that any cannabis-based product is restricted from crossing state lines. Our cannabis infused topicals are currently available for sale in dispensaries in Colorado, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, and are only legal in the state in which it was purchased.
Relaxing and calming effects are often reported with the use of our products. However, it is unlikely that a psychoactive response would be experienced as a result of application of a non-transdermal topical.

Our cannabis infused topicals are not designed for internal consumption; they are designed specifically for topical application.
We suggest starting with a twice-a-day application and increasing the dosage as necessary. You can safely apply the products as often as you like, and in fact, clinical evidence suggests that a liberal application of topicals maximizes the absorption rate.
Cannabis is a natural and gentle remedy that does not typically react with prescription drugs or natural medicines. However, we recommend that you consult with your doctor if this is a concern.
It is probably safe to use cannabis-infused topicals during pregnancy, because the THC does not enter the bloodstream, but we recommend that you consult your doctor to confirm.

In the state of Colorado, the personal use law allows a person age 21 or over to gift up to one ounce of cannabis to another person age 21 or over. That legally permits the use of cannabis-based oil in a massage as long as no upcharge has been added for the oil. However, only licensed dispensaries can retail our products. It also is legal for clients to bring their own oil that they purchased at a dispensary for use during a massage.
Cannabis infused topicals do best stored at room temperature and not in the refrigerator. They should be kept away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations, as exposure to hot or cold temps can crystallize the cannabinoids. When stored properly, Mary Jane’s Medicinals have a shelf life of about one year.
We source our cannabis from licensed growers here in Colorado. We choose cannabis that has been grown using organic methods and materials.
